Peshawar: Hashish, fake notes seized
PESHAWAR: Police claimed on Saturday to have arrested three accused and recovered 200 kilogram hashish and 7,000 fake currency notes from their possession.
A police spokesman said Haroon of Madina Colony Gulbahar was arrested by Faqirabad police with fake currency notes of Rs7,000.
The accused said the currency taken from tribal area was being shifted to different parts of the country.
In another case, two alleged narcotics smugglers, Mohammad Ikram of Rahim Yar Khan and Mohammad Tahir of Jhang were arrested for smuggling 200kg of hashish in a truck. They had brought the narcotics from Khyber Agency and were smuggling it to Punjab.
