Karachi: ‘LJ militants’ remanded
KARACHI: A judicial magistrate has remanded three suspected militants in the CID police custody till Sept 1 for allegedly possessing explosive substance and illicit weapons.
The three suspects — Tariq, Danish and Shah — were arrested in the Korangi Industrial Area on Aug 27 and said that they were associated with the banned Lashkar-i-Jhangvi.
The CID also alleged that it had seized five kilograms of explosives, six mortar rounds, 15 detonators, nine devices, two electric wire sets, three TT pistols, several bullets and a snatched car from their possessions and the suspects also disclosed that they were also involved in killings and kidnappings.
The suspects were produced before the court of a judicial magistrate (east), who remanded them in police custody till Sept 1.
