Karachi: Woman, son among four killed
Karachi: Four people, including a fruit seller, were killed in separate incidents in the city on Saturday. Arshad Siddiq and his mother Sharifaan were found dead in the FB Industrial Area police limits. Police said that information was received Saturday morning that two bodies were lying inside a quarter of a factory situated in Block-21 of the area.
Acting on the information, police rushed to the spot and found the bodies of a woman and a boy. The police, after completing the legal formalities, shifted the bodies to hospital. The police also found an iron rod and a liquor bottle from the crime scene.
The SHO, FB Industrial Area, Javed Ahmed, said that the dead were identified as Arshad, 15, and his mother, Sharifaan, residents of Quaid-i-Azam Colony, Gulshan.
During the probe, it was found that the factory manufactured food items and one of its employees, Ehsaan Ali, who hailed from interior Sindh, did not go to his hometown and ask the owner to allow him to stay inside the quarter as he wanted to spend Eid in Karachi.
He added that Ehsaan had a petty dispute running with Sharifaan and on Friday night he called her to resolve the issue. Sharifaan came to the factory along with her son Arshad and Ehsaan took them to the rooftop.
SHO Ahmed said it seemed that Ehsaan and the visitors had entered into an argument upon which Ehsaan took the iron rod and smashed the heads of Arshad and Sharifaan several times and killed them. The accused fled the factory.
