Islamabad: 5 robbers held
ISLAMABAD: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of the capital police on Monday claimed to have busted a gang of robbers and arrested its five members, which led to the recovery of Rs1 million from their possession.
A police spokesman said the gang was involved in snatching an oil tanker from I.J. Principal Road and selling the oil for Rs1 million. The police obtained physical remand of the accused from a court of law.
The culprits took out the oil and left the tanker in Attock. On the complaint of the tanker owner Mohammad Khan, a case was registered with the Sabzi Mandi police. After the Sabzi Mandi police failed to trace the culprits, the case was transferred to the CIA.
