Karachi: Another TTP suspect remanded
KARACHI: A judicial magistrate (west) on Monday remanded another suspected militant in jail custody till Sept 12 for allegedly keeping explosive material and illicit weapons and ordered the IO to submit a charge-sheet against him.
The CID police claimed to have arrested Akhtar Ayub alias Khan within the remit of the SITE-A police station on Aug 29 and stated that he was associated with the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.
The CID police claimed to have recovered a reasonable quantity of explosives and illicit weapons from his possession and said the suspect was wanted in a number of cases in Swat. He was booked under Sections 13-D of the Arms Ordinance and 4/5 of the Explosive Substance Act.
