Karachi: Several held in ‘targeted actions’
KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) have arrested ‘several’ suspects in ‘targeted actions’ in different areas of the city, a statement said on Monday. “Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) during last 48 hours conducted targeted actions against criminals in different areas,” it said.
“The areas included Pahar Gang North Nazimabad, Jahanabad, Al-Raheem Goth, Dak Khana Chowrangi, Liaquatabad No. 6 and Godhra New Karachi. Several suspects were arrested and some 36 weapons were recovered.”
Giving details of the seized items, it said the paramilitary troops seized five AK-47s, two 7mm rifles, a 222 rifle, a 12-bore rifle, four 12-bore shotguns, four 9mm pistols, nine 30-bore pistols, seven TT pistols, a 7.65mm pistol, two revolvers, 634 rounds and four motorcycles.
