Cash snatched, youth drowns in Rawal Dam
ISLAMABAD: Three persons snatched Rs 45,000 from a bank located in the limits of Aabpara Police Station and an 18-year-old youth was drowned in Rawal Dam located in the limits of Secretariat Police Station on Wednesday. According to police sources, Hassan Razzaq had drawn Rs 100,000 from HBL located in Melody. Three persons who seemed to be Balti told him that they could help him out in counting the money. After that they snatched the money and ran away.
Station House Officer (SHO) Aabpara Khalid Awan told Daily Times that as soon as police was informed, he himself reached there but it seems that guards of the banks were not trained so they could not hold the suspects. Meanwhile, Maaez Ahmed son of Farrukh Hameed resident of Ghori Town Phase III and student of COMSATS University went to Rawal Dam along with six other friends and was drowned in the water. Dead body was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and then handed over to relatives of the deceased.
