Rawalpindi: 3 tuck shop owners fined for overcharging
RAWALPINDI: Special Magistrate (Rawalpindi) Malik Muhammad Anwar has imposed fines on owners of three tuck shops in Rawat for selling food and other items at high prices during his visit to different CNG filling stations and petrol pumps along GT Road.
The special magistrate imposed a fine of Rs5,000 each on Anees Ahmed, owner of Al-Qamar Tuck Shop; Sajid Hussain, owner of Ittefaq Tuck Shop; and Aftab Ahmed, owner of Amir Tuck Shop, for charging high prices from customers.
Talking to this scribe, Special Magistrate Malik Muhammad Anwar said that all shopkeepers should charge actual prices from customers otherwise strict action would be taken against them.
Meanwhile, Assistant Director Labour Welfare Raja Shafiq Mehmood has sealed a CNG station and a petrol pump for giving less quantity of CNG and petrol. He also forwarded the cases of owners of these filling stations to the labour court for giving less salaries to their employees.
The assistant director sealed 4 units, including Amir Filling and CNG Station, GT Road, Rawat; and Ittefaq CNG Station for giving less quantity of petrol and CNG to their customers and giving less salary to their employees respectively.
