Man pays the ultimate price for trying to reconcile with rivals
OKARA: A man was poisoned to death by his rivals when he came to their house for reconciliation at Chak 52/2-L on Thursday night. Bashir Ahmad, son of Abdur Rashid Malik, had litigation with Javed Arain. Bashir Ahmad and his relatives Shafiullah Malik, Muhammad Malik and Muhammad Nawaz Bhatti came to the house of Javed Arain to settle the dispute. Javed Arain and his relatives Tahir Ahmad Arain and Amin Bakhsh brought tea and served them to Bashir Ahmad, Shafiullah Malik, Muhammad Malik and Nawaz Bhatti, which they drank.
In the meantime, Javed told them they did not want reconciliation with their rivals, rather they had avenged their rivalry by serving poisonous tea to Bashir Ahmad. The visitors immediately left the house of Javed. On the way, Bashir Malik fell unconscious. He was rushed to the DHQ Hospital where he died. The Sadr police have registered a case and started investigations.
