Lahore: Trader found slain
LAHORE: A 35-year-old oil dealer was found murdered in LDA Avenue on Raiwind Road on Sunday. Police were alerted by locals who spotted the body lying abandoned in the morning.
The victim identified as Majeed Masih of Shahpur Kanjaran left home on Saturday evening after some unidentified people called him out.
Chuhng circle DSP Shoaib Ahmad said the victim was slain with a sharp-edged weapon as his throat was found slit open. He said police also seized his cell phone and a wallet containing Rs60.
The DSP said he dialed the number of Majeed’s wife and informed her about the incident. He said the woman told the police that a motorcyclist came to their house at 7pm on Saturday and took Majeed along. He said police were examining incoming and outgoing data of the victim’s cell phone.
Meanwhile, police handed over the body to the family and registered a case.
