Peshawar: 310kg hashish seized
PESHAWAR, Sept 12: Peshawar police on Monday claimed to have seized 310 kilogram hashish from a dumper truck on the Ring Road, but the alleged smugglers fled the scene.
A police spokesman said the hashish worth millions of rupees loaded in a dumper (RIN-2863) had been brought from tribal area which was seized at the PAF check point in limits of Bana Mani police station.
The alleged smugglers, he said, had been identified as Taj Ali of Sango Sarband and Asghar of Bara Kajhori. He said despite efforts the accused managed to flee. A case against the accused was registered at the police station.
