Bid to smuggle 310 liquor bottles foiled by CIA
Islamabad: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) on Friday foiled a bid to smuggle 310 bottles of liquor and arrested two bootleggers from Tarnol.
According to police spokesman, on a tip-off, SP (Investigation) Chaudhry Liaquat Ali constituted a team to arrest bootleggers trying to smuggle wine from Taxila to Islamabad. CIA In-charge Bashir Ahmed Noon and Sub-Inspector Muhammad Tehseen intercepted a Suzuki Mehran car (ICT-492) near Tarnol.
On search, police recovered 310 bottles of wine and arrested two occupants of the car identified as Liaquat Masih, son of Inayat Masih, of Lahore and Attaullah, son of Nematullah Masih, of Bhara Kahu.
