Karachi: Accused in MQM activists’ murder case sent to jail
Karachi: A suspect allegedly involved in the murder of two political activists and possessing illegal weapons was remanded to judicial custody by two courts till September 26.
Syed Kashif Raza Abdi alias Bush was produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate (JM) Malir in the murder case of two workers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) — Azeem Mota and Dilshad — who reportedly were the right-hand men of Amir Khan as mentioned in the FIR.
According to the prosecution, during investigations, police learnt that two months before Bush had allegedly killed the two MQM workers in Landhi/Quaidabad. An FIR under Section 302 (premeditated murder) was registered at the Quaidabad police station.
He was also produced in the court of JM (West) Ashfaq Ahmed Nizamani in a separate FIR registered in Gulshan-e-Maymar with regard to the possession of illicit weapons.
The court remanded him to judicial custody till September 26. The prosecutor said that he was also wanted in several other cases of target killings. The police also recovered arms and ammunition from his possession.
