Kidnapped employee of PM’s House recovered
PESHAWAR: An employee of the Prime Minister’s House, kidnapped last week from Islamabad, was recovered in Karak district on Thursday night, official sources said.
The sources said that unidentified gunmen kidnapped Muhammad Ramzan, an employee of the Prime Minister’s House, from the Super Market in Islamabad last week and took him to an undisclosed location. The kidnappers had demanded Rs2.5 million for his release.
The sources said the intelligence agencies and police launched search for recovery of the kidnapped person. The law-enforcement agencies raided the house of a senior official of the Afghan Refugees Commissionerate in Karak and recovered the kidnapped person. The kidnappers had escaped from the place before the police raid.
When contacted, Karak District Police Officer Sajid Ali Mohmand and an official of the intelligence agency confirmed the recovery of the kidnapped person.
