Peshawar: Kidnapping bid foiled
PESHAWAR, Sept 17: Traffic police on Saturday foiled an attempt to kidnap a 15-year-old school student on Kohat Road.
A spokesman of the traffic police said five unidentified kidnappers, riding a car (H-1020), tried to forcefully bundle the boy, Farhat Imam of Superior Model School, into their car while he was going to school on a bike with his brother.
He said the traffic police personnel chased the alleged kidnappers. But as their car reached the Murshid Abad at Kohat Road it went out of the driver’s control and rammed into another vehicle.
The accused managed to flee leaving the vehicle and the student behind. The police brought the boy and the car to the Yakatoot police station and registered a case against unidentified kidnappers.
