Islamabad: 7 outlaws arrested
ISLAMABAD: Police have arrested seven outlaws from various areas of the city for their alleged involvement in dacoities, theft incidents, possessing illegal weapons and recovered four pistols, 10 liquor bottles and looted items from their possession, said spokesman for police.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Gulfaraz of Sabzi Mandi police arrested an accused Rustam Ali who snatched Rs. 49,000 from Muhammad Akhtar along with his accomplice Bilal outside the bank. Police team had been constituted to arrest Bilal.
Shehzad Town and Koral police stations arrested Amjad Khan and Junaid Khan for having one 30-bore pistol each, while ASI Zafar Iqbal of Tarnol police arrested a thief Qaisar Iqbal and recovered Rs. 27,000 from his possession.
ASI Shahid Mehmud of Secretariat police apprehended Israr and recovered 12 bore carbine, while ASI Imtiaz Ahmed of Kohsar police arrested a bootlegger Aamir for having 10 liquor bottles.
CIA Police recovered 30-bore pistol from an accused dacoit Qaisar Shah. Cases have been registered against these arrested persons and further investigation is underway.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated this performance and directed all police officials to intensify vigilance against anti-social elements.
