Karachi: SHC chief justice’s relative kidnapped
KARACHI: A relative of Sindh High Court Chief Justice Mushir Alam was kidnapped within the limits of Aziz Bhatti police station here on Saturday. Police said Faizan, 17, son of Ishfaq, went to a market to buy food items for breakfast when he was kidnapped by unidentified armed men. They said the abductee was the student of City School and was kidnapped while purchasing milk and bread for breakfast near Rehman hospital located at 13-D, Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
They said the victim’s father was employed at Dewan Group of Companies and a cousin of the SHC chief justice. SHO Irfan said a case 554/11 had been registered under section 365 of Pakistan Penal Code and a probe initiated in this connection. He said the statements of shopkeepers and eyewitnesses had also been recorded. He said that all intelligence agencies had also been informed about the incident and they had also started investigating into the case to recover the abductee. SP Anti Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) Usman Ghani said that the case did not come in AVCC jurisdiction and added that it would be transferred to AVCC when the kidnappers demanded ransom for the release of abductee.
