Karachi: SIU claims arresting target killer
KARACHI: Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Sindh Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested an alleged target killer from Qasba Colony, recovered a murdered person’s body and unearthed a torture cell. The detained accused confessed to killing three people.
The police found the body buried by the accused a couple of weeks ago. Sub Inspector SIU Rana Hanif, on a tip-off, conducted a raid and arrested accused Nooruddin Imam in an alleged encounter in Qasba Colony. The accused also confessed to have thrown the body parts of another man killed by him, police said. He also showed off a torture cell located in the basement of a house in Data Nagar, Baloch Goth where he took people along with other accomplices to kill them. The police also recovered two TT pistols. Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad has announced a reward of one million rupees for the SIU team for their successful achievement. Sources informed that the accused was arrested on Sept 16 while his arrest had been shown on Sunday.
