Rawalpindi: Gang of dacoits busted
Rawalpindi: The organised gang led by notorious dacoits Zahir-ud-Din alias Bishu of Dhoke Kalu Shah (Sadiqabad) and Javaid Iqbal Tanoli alias Billa Dakat of Mansehra (resident of Gulshan Colony Wah) was busted by the police.
They were involved in hundreds of armed dacoities committed in different areas of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, said SP (Rawal Town) Malik Matloob in a press conference here at Ganjmandi Police Station on Sunday. The gangsters have confessed of committing 18-armed dacoities in the jurisdiction of Ganjmandi, Sadiqabad, Banni, Civil Lines and Airport police station, he added.
He said that the police recovered arms and ammunition, cash, a car and a motorbike worth millions of rupees from the gangsters possession.
It is mentioned that the gang committed dacoity in the house of a trader in Banni area taking away cash of Rs3 million and 40 tolas of gold ornament just two days after their release from the Adiala Jail. A total of 71 cases of armed dacoities were registered against Bishu while he has committed hundreds of such offences, which have not been reported.
