Islamabad: 11 criminals arrested
Islamabad: As many as 11 men involved in criminal activities have been arrested from various localities of the city, the police spokesman said.
The special teams of Golra and Tarnol police stations arrested six men identified as Faisal, Alizah, Zameen Khan, Safeer Ahmed, Muhammad Nabi and Israr for their alleged involvement in drug-peddling. The police teams recovered 2.20-kilograms of heroin, 4 kilograms of opium, 2.22 kilograms of hashish and ten bottles of liquor from them.
The Sabzimandi Police nabbed Bilal for keeping an unauthorised pistol. The Shalimar Police also recovered a pistol and ten rounds from Hayat Khan.
The Industrial Area Police nabbed three pickpockets identified as Shehzad, Murad and Anjum and recovered stolen cash from them. Cases have been registered against the nabbed men and further investigation is underway.
