Muzaffargarh: 9 held for attack on SSP caravan
MUZAFFARGARH: The police on Tuesday arrested nine shia activists, who allegedly attacked the caravan of Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi in Alipur on Sunday.
Talking to newsmen, DPO Rao Munir Ahmad said that those arrested were Zafar Hussain, Dildar Hussain, Arif Hussain, Mukhtar Hussain, Mohsin Abbas, Nasir Ali, Zubair Ali, Ashiq Hussain and Riaz Hussain. He said that a case was instituted against 114 attackers under Sections 302, 324, 334, 297, 365 and 435 of the PPC and Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act. He said the police would arrest all the nominated accused in 24 hours. Meanwhile, tension gripped the area. Majority of shia activists had reportedly gone underground after closing their business.
