Cash, jewellery looted from house at Shaheen Muslim Town
PESHAWAR: Four unidentified gunmen broke into a house at Shaheen Muslim Town in Pando area and decamped with jewellery and cash worth over Rs3 million here on Wednesday, police said.
A police official quoting the statement of the complainant, Amjad, said that four men armed with pistols forcefully entered his house at 2pm, held his family hostage and took away 50 tolas of gold jewellery, Rs0.4 million cash, two digital cameras, one pistol and cellphone sets etc.
The complainant, who is an employee in Peshawar Electric Supply Company, informed the police that he could recognise the accused in identification parade as they were not wearing masks. The official said that efforts were made to arrest the accused.
