Faisalabad: Theft bid foiled
FAISALABAD: A bid to steal 11-KV overhead line was foiled at Chak 40-RB Chatti on Wednesday. According to details, some unidentified thieves with the help of a wire cutter removed 2 spans of 11-KV wires from the area of Bandala Sub-Division. Due to this cutting, two poles, four cross arms, six disk insulators and three pin insulators were damaged which caused lose of Rs 200,000.
They also cut 635 meter long 9 spans of 11-KV wires near Chak 95-RB Dosanja. This attempt damaged nine poles, three cross arms, six disk insulators, 12 pin insulators, four stay rods. In the meantime, the power disruption compelled the locals to inform the Fesco staff. SDO Nadeem Akbar along with his staff rush to the site and informed the police. After seeing the police, the thieves fled. The SDO has lodged a complaint with the Balochani police station for registration of a case.
