Dacoits gang busted, claim police
ISLAMABAD: Shehzad Town police on Wednesday busted an alleged inter-provincial gang involved in dacoities and street crimes besides recovering weapons, bike and snatched mobiles from their possession, a spokesman for police said.
Special team arrested four criminals red handed when they were planning to strike. These nabbed persons were identified as Hameed Ullah, Nadeem, Farrukh Iftikhar and Sajid Zaman.
They confessed their involvement in several dacoities in various areas of twin cities. Police team recovered three pistols, a motorbike used in various crime incidents and also five mobile phones from their possession.
Meanwhile, Bhara Kahu police nabbed an accused Abdullah for having one Kalashnikov and 10 rounds. Shalimar police apprehended an alleged bootlegger Sadiq and recovered 10 cans of beer from him.
Sabzi Mandi police arrested an accused Muhammad Zahid for having 30 bore pistol while Shehzad Town police nabbed Tahir Mehmud for having also 30 bore pistol.
