Karachi: 6 target killing suspects remanded into CID custody
Karachi: Five alleged assassins were remanded on Saturday into the custody of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) till September 27 for their involvement in several cases of target killings in the city.
Asif Ali alias Uppa, Mohammad Naveed, Mohammad Faisal, Mumtaz Ali and Rajab Ali were produced in the court of Incharge Judicial Magistrate (West) Ashfaq Ahmed Nizamai under tight security arrangements.
They were wanted in several cases of target killings, attempts to murder and police encounters. The CID police arrested them from Ittehad Town on Friday after a brief encounter. The magistrate remanded them into the CID custody till September 27.
Another alleged target killer, Anwer Hussain, was produced in the court of JM (West) Pir Syed Asadullah Rashdi and was remanded into the CID custody till September 30. The CID police had arrested him from the Peerabad police limits on Friday.
