Lakki Marwat: Cattle smuggling bid foiled
LAKKI MARWAT: The police foiled a cattle smuggling bid and arrested three accused near Tajori on Saturday. The police had set up a check point on the road near Tajori on a tip-off that cattle would be smuggled to Afghanistan via tribal area. The police signaled a pick-up truck (BU-2177) loaded with cows to stop for checking.
Officials said the animals were being transported to the tribal area illegally as the men onboard the pick-up could not produce relevant documents or permits to carry cattle to the tribal area.
The accused Zafar Ali, Javed and Roidar, residents of Mir Ali tehsil of North Waziristan Agency, were arrested and a case was registered against them.
