Sialkot: Bailiff recovers six from police torture cells
SIALKOT: A bailiff has recovered six people from two private torture cells of police in the areas of Saddar and Kotli Loharaan police stations.
However, District Sessions Judge Manzur Hussain Dogar took a notice of the situation and summoned Inspector Azam Dhiloun, the SHO of Sialkot Saddar police station and other police officials with complete record to explain why these cells were set up on September 26, 2011 (today).
On the petition filed by Kashmiri Muhallah Sialkot based Nasira Parveen, a special bailiff raided these areas and recovered Nasira Parveen’s three sons Khalid, Hamid and Asad. Police had kept them detained for the last several days.
Likewise, the other bailiff unearthed the second private torture cell of police near the Kotli Loharaan police station and recovered three illegally detained victims Jehangir Awan, Ali Hamza Gujar and Tahir. The police had kept them detained there for the last six days without their any involvement in any case. On the other hand, Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Bilal Sadiq Kamiyana has ordered a strict departmental probe against Inspector Irfan Sher, Sun Inspector Muhammad Javaid, Head Constable Muhammad Sher and Constable Riaz.
