Karachi: Robbers use girl to rob school principal, staff
Karachi: Robbers looted valuables, including cash, jewellery and mobile phones, from the principal, school teachers and other staff of a private school in the Ibrahim Hyderi police limits on Tuesday.
According to the victims, three men walked into the Abbasi Public School located in Bhittai Colony and made the people present in the school hostage at gunpoint.
The robbers along with a girl entered the school and told the watchman that they wanted to enrol the girl in the school, Azra Bano, principal of the school, said while quoting the watchman.
“The watchman allowed them to enter the school. Then they walked into my room and asked me the details about the school’s timing, fee structure and process of getting admission in the school,” she told The News.
After a brief discussion, the girl was asked to appear in an admission test. Meanwhile, the people who accompanied the girl, pulled out their weapons and made the principal hostage, police said.
“They asked her to hand over all valuables. Later, they searched the school building and ordered the teachers and other staff to hand over their cellular phones and cash,” they said.
The armed men, after colleting the valuables from the school, locked the school’s management in a classroom and escaped along with the girl. The police lodged an FIR on the complaint of the school’s principal.
