Rawalpindi: 2 awarded death sentence
RAWALPINDI: Additional District and Sessions Judge Amjad Nazir Chaudhry Thursday awarded death sentence to a man in a murder case.
The court awarded death sentence and imposed a fine of Rs100,000 on Shaukat Hussain who killed Amjad Hussain Kiani. The court acquitted two other accused Rab Nawaz and Ali Raza due to lack of evidence.
The Saddar Bairuni Police Station had registered a case under Section 302 against three accused for their alleged role in the murder of Amjad Hussain Kiani on May 3, 2008.
Meanwhile, Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Iqbal awarded death sentence to a man, Shahid Hassan, for his role in burning his wife to death.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs100,000 on him. Sadiqabad Police Station had registered a case against Shahid Hassan under Section 302 on November 3, 2010.
