Bannu: 6 convicted in murder case
BANNU: A local court on Friday awarded life terms to six persons in a quadruple murder case. On January 25, 2009, Abdul Ghaffar, resident of Shermast Killay in Kakki tehsil, nominated Arifullah, Zahoor Khan, Saranjam and Abdul Qayyum, Waheed Khan and Raqibaz Khan in the first information report lodged with the Kakki police station for killing Hikmat Yar, Shahidullah, Ashrafullah and Muhammad Rauf over a land dispute.
The counsels for both the parties Wali Ayaz and Rasheed Khan pursued the case in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge No-III Jehanzeb Shinwari.
Hearing the final arguments by the counsels, the judge awarded 103-year imprisonment and fine Rs0.2 each. The court also directed the convicts to pay the amount to the victims families.
