Pasban leader held in Hangu
HANGU: Security forces arrested Alamzada Orakzai, president of Pasban, in Hangu for his alleged contacts with the militants, sources said on Friday.
Security officials said that Alamzada Orakzai, a resident of Bagto, was detained for questioning for alleged links with the militants. The police also picked up Junaid Khan, chairman of a local human rights organisation in the area.
Talking to reporters, wife of Junaid Khan, alleged that her husband was victimised at the behest of the district police officer and station house officer Hangu Police Station. The woman said that her husband was picked up because he had cooperated with the Supreme Court while exposing the role of the area police in the missing persons’ cases.
She appealed to the chief justice and police high-ups to provide justice to her husband and release him forthwith as he had not committed any crime.
