6 injured in attack on Quetta Express

QUETTA: At least six people, among them two security personnel, were injured in an attack on the Quetta Express train near Mangoli area of Jaffarabad district late night between Saturday and on Sunday.

 

Police said unidentified armed men opened fire on Quetta Express, injuring six people including two security personnel. The injured were rushed to Dera Murad Jamali Civil Hospital. Police said that two injured security personnel would be referred to Jacobabad Civil Hospital due to their critical condition.



However, the condition of four injured passengers was said to be out of danger. Law enforcement personnel rushed to the site and cordon off the entire area and launched search operation. The Pakistan Railways authorities allowed the train to continue journey to Quetta despite threat of attack in late night.
