Karachi: 2 killed in violent incidents in city
KARACHI: Two persons, including mother of three children, were killed in separate incidents of violence on Monday. Mother of three children was stabbed to death over a petty issue near Urdu Bazaar Road in the remits of Shershah Police Station.
The incident took place at Lane No 20, Urdu Bazaar Road when an angry husband after exchanging some hot words killed his wife with the help of jagged tool. The victim was identified as Musarrat Bibi 25, wife of Ghulam Qasim.
Police claim to have arrested the accused, Qasim who has been trying to change the nature of murder. Body was moved to Civil Hospital Karachi for autopsy and later handed over to the heirs. Case was not registered till filing of this report.
Separately, tortured body of a man was recovered from a grave located at Dir Colony, North Nazimabad in the remits of Sharah-e-Noor Jehan police station.
Locals of the area informed police of a gunny-bagged body lying in the graveyard situated at North Nazimabad Block U. Police reached the spot and shifted it to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.
The deceased was identified as Moiz 38, son of Abdul Rasheed, a resident of Paposh Nagar. According to police, he had been missing since last night when he left the house after receiving a call on his mobile phone. In the wee hours of Monday, his tortured body was found from the graveyard. It was handed over to the family after completion of medico-legal formalities.
