PML-Q leader’s daughter held for kidnapping Filipino
LAHORE: Police have arrested a daughter of PML-Q leader Ahad Malik and two other women on charges of kidnapping a Filipino on Monday. The arrested accused were identified as Ayesha Iqbal, daughter of Ahad Malik, Mahnoor and a maid.
On September, 26, 2011, a Filipina maid, Loriview, a resident of New Iqbal Park, alleged that Ayesha Iqbal had not been paying her salary for the last three months. She alleged that on demanding salary, the accused woman had kidnapped her son, Joseph.
Defense-A police registered a case of kidnapping against Ayesha and six others. On Monday, a court cancelled bail to the accused after which Racecourse police arrested them. A minor scuffle between an inspector and Ayesha’s husband Qadir Iqbal, the son of retired Chief Justice Sardar Iqbal, was also observed after the women refused to go to the police station.
