Sargodha: Armed group kills youth outside court
SARGODHA: A youth was gunned down by an armed group over old enmity outside the district court on Monday. As per detail, a local landlord and his companions were coming to the district court for some litigation but when they reached before the court gate, a car LEP/1694 intercepted their vehicle and armed persons opened fire.
Luckily, the landlord remained safe but one of his companions identified as 24-year-old Muhammad Sarfraz, a resident of Kakkay Wala village (Jhawarian), received bullet injuries and died on the spot.
A stampede occurred on district court road due to firing. In the meantime, Cantonment Police Muhafiz Squad-1, patrolling near District Courts, responded to the call of the victims and arrested culprit, who was identified as Aman Ullah of Kakkay-Wala. Police recovered 44-bore rifle along with magazines, cartridges and an XLI Black Corolla used in the attack. Further investigation is underway.
District Bar Association Sargodha strongly condemned the incident and announced two-day strike.
