Peshawar: Child recovered, abductors held
PESHAWAR, Oct 8: Police claimed here on Saturday to have recovered a three-year-old boy, who was kidnapped five days ago, and arrested the alleged kidnappers.
Police said that the child, Usman, was kidnapped when he was playing with other children outside his house in Alif Khan Kallay on Oct 3.
The kidnappers had demanded Rs1 million for his release but his father instead of paying the money kept police informed about the situation, they said.
Police traced the cellular phone number of the kidnappers and arrested them during a raid in Katlang area of Mardan district.
The child was recovered from the house of Haji Akbar while two other kidnappers Baz and Zakir were arrested during the raid, police claimed. One of the arrested accused was neighbour of the child`s family, they said.
