9 including local N leader get 7-year jail
SIALKOT: Civil Judge Abdul Jabbar has awarded seven years rigorous imprisonment each to nine convicts including local PML-N leader in a famous case.
According to the persecution, the convicted including PML-L leader Hafiz Shehbaz Wariya had set ablaze the house of Ch Mehmood Wariya in Village Aadha-Daska after the brutal assassination of a PML-N worker over a political row at a local polling station during the Feb 18, 2008 general elections by the rival political group led by Ch Mehmood Wariya. The valuables worth Rs30 million had been gutted during the said house fire by the convicts.
The judge also acquitted three other accused including two women by giving them benefit of doubt in this case. The judge also issued the arrest warrants of the five other accused in this case by declaring the proclaimed offenders (POs) in this case.
