KARACHI: The Crime Branch Police Friday claimed to have arrested a target killer from Orangi Town and recovered a weapon from his possession. SP Farooq Awan said a police party raided Bukhari Colony, Orangi Town, arrested Naveedur Rehman alias Salar and recovered a TT pistol from his possession.
The SP said during interrogation, the accused confessed to his involvement in 13 cases of target killings, including murder of an MQM activist. He said few days ago, police also arrested his accomplice Omair. He said he belonged to a political party and few years ago some unidentified men opened fire on him, resultantly he received bullet injuries but after recovery he joined a political party to take revenge. He also confessed that during his attacks, around 20 people received injuries. Further investigation was in progress.
