Islamabad: Eight illegal structures razed
ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) during its anti-encroachment drive demolished eight structures built illegally in Sector G-7/1 on Tuesday. Dawn Director CDA Enforcement Ramzan Joya told : “We have demolished several structures which were illegal and being used for residential purpose.”
Mr Joya said that the enforcement directorate would speed up the drive against encroachments in coming days as it was receiving complaints from the people about the massive encroachments in different commercial centers of the city. He said that the anti–encroachment staff was not facing any resistance since the traders` community was supporting them in the drive.
“We take all the stakeholders on board before initiating major anti-encroachment drive,” Mr Joya said. The enforcement director maintained that a few days back, they removed a garbage collection point in the Akhbar Market in Aabpara.
