Karachi: 2 brothers among four murdered
Karachi: At least four people, including two brothers and a young woman, were murdered in different parts of the city on Wednesday.
On the complaint of one Salman, Malir City police picked up Asif Baloch and during interrogation he confessed that he along with his three accomplices kidnapped Bilal (20) and his elder brother Babar (24) and later killed them and dumped their bodies near Bakra Peeri.
On his disclosure, the police recovered the bodies and shifted them to the JPMC for legal formalities. Baloch further disclosed that Babar was involved with his cousin due to which he killed him.
In his complaint, Salman stated that his sons had gone missing and he nominated Baloch in the matter. The suspect is a resident of Railway Colony situated in the Malir City police area.
Meanwhile, Zubaida, 20, a worker at a local garment factory, was stabbed to death allegedly by her colleague Asif at the premises of the factory situated in Sector 14 in the Korangi Industrial Area police limits. Both had indulged in hot arguments following which Asif picked a knife and stabbed Zubaida to death, police said.
Other factory workers caught the suspect and handed him over to the police along with the knife. Later, the police shifted her body to the JPMC for legal formalities. Zubaida was a resident of Zia Colony situated in the Korangi police area.
Javed Iqbal, 30, was shot dead by two armed men riding a motorcycle near the Landhi Telephone Exchange situated in Landhi-89 in the Quaidabad police jurisdiction.
Upon hearing the gunshots, area people rushed to the spot and saw Javed Iqbal lying in a pool of blood. Later, police arrived at the spot and took his body to the JPMC for a post-mortem.
Iqbal received six bullets on different parts of his body. According to police, the man hailed from Peshawar and he might have been murdered over an old enmity.
