Karachi: 7 suspected target killers arrested
Karachi: Law enforcement agencies on Thursday claimed to have arrested seven target killing suspects reportedly associated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
The suspects were said to be involved in the target killings of more than 90 people, including 15 activists of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi.
The law enforcers recovered six G-3 rifles, two SMG rifles, one LMG rifle, five 9MM handguns, four hand grenades and over 22,000 bullets from them.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of law enforcers raided a house in Qasba Colony, Orangi No. 2-1/2, where the suspects were said to be hiding.
Seeing mobile vans, the suspects opened fire. After an encounter, the raiding team arrested one of most wanted criminals, Javed alias Bunda, along with his six accomplices, while their two accomplices managed to flee.
During the initial interrogation, the suspects disclosed that they, along with their accomplices, killed more than 90 people, including 15 MQM-Haqiqi activists, in different parts of the city.
