Lahore: 34 vehicles recovered from two car-lifters
LAHORE, Oct 13: The anti-vehicle lifting staff of the Lahore police claimed on Thursday to have arrested two members of a car-lifter gang and recovered 34 vehicles worth Rs10.9 million from them.
The suspects confessed to committing 102 incidents of car-lifting during preliminary interrogation.
Crimes Record Office SP Capt Sajjad Husain Manj (retired) told reporters at his office he had constituted a special team under the supervision of AVLS DSP Saleem Mukhtar Butt which collected particulars of Shahbaz alias Shaba Jee car-lifter gang.
He said the team arrested ringleader Shahbaz and his accomplice Imtiaz Ahmad and seized from them stolen vehicles.
