Accused in policemen’s killing case remanded
Karachi: The administrative judge of the anti-terrorism courts in Karachi remanded in police custody for 10 days a suspect facing charges of killing some policemen in the Chakra Goth area in Korangi. Police presented Imran Khan before Justice Maqbool Baqar for obtaining his remand in connection with the policemen killing case of August 19.
Police said a police party led by DSP Syed Badar Ali Shah had been proceeding to the Chakra Goth area in Korangi after receiving information on a law and order situation created due to a dispute between two groups when it was attacked by some armed people. Police said that some 30 to 40 armed people opened fire on the police force on Korangi Road, resulting in the killing of three cops.
