Lahore: Hearing of murder case today
LAHORE: A division bench of the Lahore High Court, headed by Justice Anwarul Haq, will hear today (Tuesday) appeals of the convicts in the famous murder of Sheikh Muhammad Zahid, a well-known trader of Shah Alam Market. Amir Butt, and three others have filed appeal against the four time death conviction awarded to them by the Special Court, Anti-terrorism, Lahore.
Sheikh Zahid was mercilessly shot dead after he was kidnapped on the way from his show room in Shah Alam Market to his Cantt house on August 1, 2006. The kidnappers had first demanded heavy ransom but eventually killed him and left him in his car near Shama Theatre.
