Karachi: 21 suspects held, arms found in graveyard
Karachi: Rangers’ officials arrested 21 criminals and recovered arms and ammunition in house-to-house search operations in different parts of the city on Thursday.
Acting on information provided by the arrested suspects, the paramilitary soldiers raided a graveyard in Liquatabad C–1 area and recovered two AK-47 rifles, three Kalashnikovs, nine TT pistols and hundreds of bullets.
The arrested suspects, including extortionists and drug peddlers, were shifted to unidentified locations for interrogation.
Rangers’ officials claimed that during the last 24 hours they raided different parts of the city, arrested three criminals and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
The Rangers personnel along with police and sniffer dogs carried out the search operations in Saddar Town areas, Bohri Bazaar, Banaras Chowrangi, Orangi Town and other parts of the city and recovered arms and ammunition.
Meanwhile, the Baldia Town police carried out raids in the Saeedabad and Mauripur police jurisdiction and arrested 13 criminals. The suspects were involved in killings, extortion and drug peddling.
The police claimed that they recovered nine TT pistols, narcotics and liquor bottles from them.
