41 outlaws held, drugs seized in Hangu
HANGU: Police claimed to have arrested 41 outlaws and recovered arms and drugs in a search operation in the district on Friday.
Talking to reporters, District Police Officer Abdur Rasheed said that security would be beefed up in the district during the Muharram. He said that the police launched operation in different areas including Thall, Doaba and Hangu Town.
The DPO said the police arrested 41 outlaws and recovered arms including 19 Kalashnikov rifles, 12 guns, 15 rifles, 25 pistols, 12 handgrenades, 1027 cartridges and 12 kilograms of hashish from the possession of criminals.
He urged the people to cooperate with the police and keep an eye on the movement of the suspected elements in their surroundings.
