LAKKI MARWAT: Police claimed on Monday to have arrested several outlaws during a search operation in border villages with the frontier tribal region.
DPO Gulzar Ali Khan told media men the operation was launched on information that miscreants had infiltrated into the district and were planning to carry out anti-social activities.
Police backed by personnel of anti-terror squad and elite force carried out raids on the hideouts of outlaws in Azadkhel Bettanni, Oathkhel, Mastikhel, Kotka Mamraiz and other border villages, he said. DPO Gulzar said raids on the hideouts of criminals’ gangs forced several absconders to surrender to the police.
He said the personnel of law enforcement agencies had been directed to keep an eagle eye on the suspects in the border villages.
