Mingora: 5 kidnappers arrested, minor recovered
MINGORA: Police recovered a kidnapped boy and arrested five kidnappers in Fatehjhang in Punjab province on Monday. Talking to reporters, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hussain Bacha said that four-year-old Khalilullah went missing on October 12 and the family members registered the case with the police. He said the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Malakand Range, Akhtar Hayat constituted an investigation team headed by DSP Fazal Wahid and started investigation.
He said the police arrested one of the close relatives of the victim family, Muhammad Zafar, who admitted to his involvement in the kidnapping of the minor.
Bacha said the kidnappers later demanded Rs5 million from the family for the release of the minor. He said the arrested member of the kidnappers’ gang led the police to the arrest of other accomplices. Police raided a house in Fatehjhang in district Attock and arrested four other accused and got the minor released from their captivity.
The accused Muhammad Zafar, Fazal Subhan, Afzal Khan, Abdul Sattar and Zahoor along with the minor were produced before the media.
