Rawalpindi: 5 arrested men slip away from police station
Rawalpindi: Five arrested involved in criminal offences sneaked out from the Waris Khan Police Station during electricity loadshedding on Saturday night. Police, however, arrested one of them after lodging another FIR against them under Sections 500 PPC, while they were already booked under Section 506 PPC, police said.
Police said that five men, including Ejaz alias Doctor, Aizaz, Rashid, Kamran and Amir, who were under the influence of drugs, allegedly entered into the house of Samina Bibi, wife of Rana Mohammad Akram, resident of Arya Mohallah. They allegedly thrashed Samina and her children during the ransacking of the house.
The family informed the Rescue-15, police said, adding that police arrested them and took them to the police station and lodged an FIR against them. In the meantime, electricity breakdown occurred at the scheduled time of loadshedding. Taking advantage of darkness, all accused managed to slip away from the police station.
