Shershah suspect among four killed
Karachi: Four people, including a suspect in the Shershah scrap market incident, were killed and one was injured in two firing incidents in the city on Monday.
Ali Muhammad, 12, Abdul Hameed alias Mulla Raju, 35, and Mutahir, 30, the latter the driver of a sub-inspector, Ashiq Khoso, suffered bullet wounds when two men riding a motorcycle opened fire on the vehicle of Mutahir near Chakra Goth in the Zaman Town police limits.
In this incident, a passer-by, Ali Muhammad, also received bullet wounds. Abdul Hameed was a suspect in the Shersah scrap market incident and had a head money of Rs0.3 million. He was a resident of Lyari.
After the incident some area people rushed to the spot and found them in a pool of blood. Later, they informed the police.
A police mobile van reached the spot and was taking the injured to the JPMC when Ali Muhammad and Abdul Hameed died from their wounds.
The SP Sharea Faisal told The News that Abdul Hameed had gone to Chakra Goth in the vehicle of Sub-Inspector Ashiq Khoso when he came under attack. He termed the incident an act of target killing.
In the other incident, Obaidullah, 28, was shot dead when two men barged into his residence in Keamari in the Jackson police jurisdiction, opened fire on him, killing him on the spot, and fled.
According to the police, the man had been gunned down due to some personal enmity. Abdul Qayyum, 35, was shot dead in his shop near a 4L bus stop in the Sohrab Goth police area.
According to the police, Qayyum hailed from Multan and was killed over some domestic dispute.
